Edgewood strongly supports mixing affordable and market rate housing types in well designed developments. We recently opened the 120 unit Edgewood Apartments at the intersection of Interstate 495 and Route One in Plainville, MA. This “friendly 40B” development was designed and constructed cooperatively with the Town of Plainville and the Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) through its Local Initiative Program (LIP). The development has 30 “affordable” and 90 market rate units. Amenities include elevators, granite kitchens, washer/dryers, walking trails and a clubhouse with a pool and fitness center. This project is an excellent example of how Edgewood works with communities to produce a quality, affordable housing which all stakeholders can be proud of.

Oak Hill Estates is an example of an affordable home-ownership development. This 46 unit, age restricted housing development of duplexes was seamlessly incorporated into an area of single-family homes. It was also completed in close cooperation with the Town of Plainville through the state Chapter 40B process. It is fully constructed and occupied.
